GWEL AN MOR WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY
Cornwall Wedding Photographer
Kaleigh and Josh
Gwel an Mor is a wedding venue within a holiday resort in Cornwall, above the beach village of Portreath. It offers a boho yurt for the wedding ceremony and a barn. It’s a stones throw from the beach of Portreath and clifftop views of stunning sunsets which are a dream for wedding photography in Cornwall.
The Morning
I started the day with Kaleigh at her house as she got ready with her friends and mother. It was a really relaxed, fun morning and it was great to work with make-up artist, Anna from Balance of Beautee.
The Ceremony
The Ceremony took place inside Gwel An Mors Boho Yurt. It’s such a beautiful structure to get married in and no matter what the weather is, the lighting inside is always great. A nervous looking Josh was waiting Kaleigh to arrive. After the wedding, the newly weds were greeted with a shower of confetti followed by a short drinks reception with some outdoor games. I took the couple, as well as some of the guests, down to a nearby woodland area where there is a small wooden bridge for photos.
The Afternoon/Evening
Food was followed by some incredible speeches. Speeches are some of my favourite moments to photograph due to the emotion they bring out in people. As the speeches finishes, the sun was about to set, so I took Josh and Kaleigh down to Portreath Beach for some beautiful photos. We also had time to drive up on the cliffs to capture the very last bit of sun.
The day ended with one of the best parties I had photographed in a long time. Covid had put wedding parties on hold so everyone was making up for lost time. As well as a party, there was also a Casino for guests to enjoy with a full size roulette table and blackjack.
It was a really enjoyable wedding to be a part of and Josh and Kaleigh were an absolute pleasure to photograph. I really enjoy photographing weddings at Gwel An Mor, especially due to how close it is to some of the most stunning cliff top views in Cornwall.
