Adam and Glen

Polhawn Fort

Cornwall Wedding Photography

I had previously met Adam and Glen when I did their engagement photography on Porthtowan beach. The wedding took place at the stunning Polhawn Fort, near Torpoint in Cornwall. It’s one of the most stunning wedding venues I regularly work at. It’s a Napoleonic fort, complete with its own drawbridge with it’s own idyllic private beach. Weddings can be held both inside and outside and Adam and Glen decided to do both.

They picked the wedding in October as they love Autumn so there was a slight halloween theme, although they were blessed with gorgeous summer weather.

The first ceremony was inside the grand hall with a registrar. Everything about this venue is gorgeous which just makes my job so much easier. This was followed by an outdoors ‘druid’ ceremony which involved auctual handfasting. The weather and the surroundings were breathtaking overlooking the turquoise atlantic ocean south coast.

Glen and Adam wanted to head down to the private beach for some couple photos once both ceremonies were done before they headed back inside the fort for food, speeches and dancing.

A truly lovely couple and fabulous venue.
